Thai Business Leaders Attend SelectUSA Investment Summit to Strengthen US Ties
A delegation of major Thai corporations aims to enhance trade and investment relations with the United States.
The Thai Chamber of Commerce has organized a delegation of leading Thai businesses to participate in the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2025, which is scheduled to take place from May 11 to May 14 in Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
This initiative is undertaken in collaboration with the Thai government to bolster trade and investment relationships with the United States, aimed at facilitating easier access for Thai companies to the American market.
The participating corporations hail from various sectors and include prominent names such as SCG Packaging, Charoen Pokphand Group, CPF North America, Banpu, PTTEP, PTT International Trading USA, EGCO Group, Indorama Ventures, Thai Summit America, and Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods, which is a subsidiary of Thai Union Group.
This summit reflects a strategic move by Thailand's private sector to explore new business opportunities in the U.S. amid adjustments in trade dynamics and the impact of existing tariffs.
By fostering a public-private partnership approach, the delegation aims to navigate the challenges presented by previous tariff policies and enhance bilateral trade relations.
