Thai Court Issues Arrest Warrant for Miss Universe Co-Owner After She Fails to Appear at Fraud Verdict Hearing
Jakkaphong “Anne” Jakrajutatip declared a flight risk in 930,000-dollar bond-sale fraud case ahead of verdict, whereabouts now unknown
A Bangkok court has issued an arrest warrant for Jakkaphong “Anne” Jakrajutatip, co-owner of the Miss Universe Organization (MUO), after she failed to appear at a scheduled fraud verdict hearing on November 25, 2025. The case stems from allegations that she and her company, JKN Global Group, defrauded a plastic surgeon investor by selling corporate bonds despite reportedly knowing the company could not honour repayment — claims that involve losses totalling 30 million baht (approximately 930,000 USD).
With her bail revoked, the court has declared her a flight risk and rescheduled the verdict for December 26.
Jakrajutatip’s absence has sparked widespread speculation about her location.
She was notably missing from the 2025 Miss Universe pageant held in Bangkok earlier this month, which only added to questions around her status.
Although JKN has denied rumours that she liquidated assets and fled the country, no public explanation has been offered regarding the arrest warrant.
The legal drama compounds existing troubles for JKN Global, which in 2025 was punished by Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC) for issuing misleading statements about the sale of Miss Universe — a case that led to fines and a ban on executive roles for Jakrajutatip.
Earlier in June, she resigned from all her executive positions at JKN, though she had remained a major shareholder and retained her ownership stake in MUO.
The unfolding case comes at a delicate moment for the Miss Universe brand.
The 2025 contest was already marred by public disputes and judge resignations, prompting concerns about the organisation’s credibility.
With the co-owner now subject to an arrest warrant and potential verdict next month, the future leadership and stability of the pageant’s global operations face increasing uncertainty.
The outcome of the scheduled December verdict and any law-enforcement action will be closely watched by stakeholders across the entertainment, investment and governance communities, both within Thailand and internationally.
