Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra Launches Monthly TV Program 'Empowering Thais'
The initiative aims to inform citizens about government policies and progress, with the inaugural episode airing on February 2.
Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra is set to debut a monthly televised talk show titled 'Empowering Thais' on Sunday, February 2. The half-hour program will be broadcast on Channel 11 of the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) from 8:00 to 8:30 AM on the first Sunday of each month.
It will also be available via live stream on the Thai government's and Public Relations Department's websites and social media platforms.
Government spokesman Jirayu Huangsap announced that the show is designed to raise public awareness of the government's policies driving Thailand forward under Paetongtarn's leadership.
In the inaugural episode, the Prime Minister will summarize the government's work over the past three months, including outcomes of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
She will also explain policies that the public is interested in, such as Homes for Thais, One District One Scholarship, and long-term plans to tackle PM2.5 air pollution.
This initiative follows Paetongtarn's recent address marking her administration's first 90 days in office, where she outlined key policies under the campaign '2025: Empowering Thais, a Real Possibility'.
