Thailand's Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa has expressed full support for Malaysia's upcoming chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025.
Following the successful leadership of Laos, which concluded its ASEAN chairmanship last week, Maris highlighted Malaysia's readiness to continue advancing ASEAN initiatives.
During the ASEAN Chairmanship Handover Ceremony in Vientiane, Laos officially handed over leadership to Malaysia, with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim accepting the chairmanship gavel from Laos Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.
Malaysia has previously chaired ASEAN in 1977, 1997, 2005, and 2015.
