Thailand Launches Digital Arrival Card to Streamline Tourist Entry
The TDAC system replaces the traditional TM.6 paper form, reducing processing times and enhancing efficiency for both tourists and immigration.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports in Thailand has introduced the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), a digital system designed to simplify the entry process for tourists.
Replacing the traditional TM.6 paper form, the TDAC system aims to reduce immigration processing times and increase efficiency.
Tourists can now submit their personal information online before arrival, streamlining the entry procedure and allowing for faster processing at immigration checkpoints.
Integrated with various government agencies, including the Department of Consular Affairs, the Department of Disease Control, and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the TDAC ensures seamless data verification.
The system also links with the E-Visa system, disease-screening processes, and the tourist fee-collection system, offering a comprehensive solution for managing arrivals.
The Immigration Bureau has produced materials in five languages—English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Japanese—to promote the system internationally and assist travelers in using it effectively.
The TDAC system is expected to be fully operational by May 1, 2025.
For tourists, the TDAC offers the convenience of pre-arrival registration, reducing wait times and enhancing security by ensuring the accuracy of personal data.
For Thailand, the system improves operational efficiency and reinforces the country’s reputation as a modern, tourist-friendly destination while contributing to the promotion of tourism and economic growth.
