Tropical Storm Maysak Triggers Flash Flooding in Trat as Authorities Deploy Rescue Operations
Tropical Storm Maysak has caused flash flooding and forest runoff in Thailand’s eastern Trat province, prompting the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation to deploy 30 rescue boats to assist affected communities. While the storm is not expected to make landfall in Thailand, meteorologists say it is driving heavy rainfall across the north, upper northeast and central regions, with additional warnings issued for strong waves along the southern Andaman coast as monsoon conditions persist through July 6.
