Bangkok's Tallest Office Skyscraper, One City Centre, Debuts
Mitsubishi Estate launches Thailand's highest office building, the $250 million One City Centre, in partnership with Raimon Land.
Japanese developer Mitsubishi Estate has unveiled the 61-story One City Centre (OCC) in Bangkok, Thailand's tallest office building at 276 meters.
The project, a collaboration with local firm Raimon Land, cost 8.8 billion baht (approximately $247 million) and boasts LEED gold certification for its eco-friendly design.
Tatsuya Nishiji, head of Mitsubishi Estate's Thailand branch, aims to draw environmentally conscious global businesses. OCC offers 116,000 square meters of office space, the most available from a Japanese developer in Thailand, and plans to open restaurants and a rooftop bar this year.
Major clients like The Boston Consulting Group, BNP Paribas, CBRE, Marubeni, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries are already tenants since the building's 2023 completion.
Amid an upsurge in Bangkok office developments, including TCC Group’s One Bangkok, concerns over excess supply loom. Nonetheless, CBRE Thailand executive Sarut Virakul notes a solid demand for green buildings in top locations.
