CP Axtra Reports 5.8% First-Half Profit Growth as Online and Fresh Food Sales Surge
Retail and wholesale operator posts 4.93 billion baht net profit on strong e-commerce and fresh food demand, announces interim dividend
CP Axtra Plc, the operator of Makro and Lotus's, reported total revenue of 259 billion baht for the first half of 2025, with a net profit of 4.93 billion baht, representing a 5.8% increase compared with the same period in 2024.
Online sales grew by 34% year-on-year, while fresh food sales rose by 10%.
The company attributed the performance to enhanced product offerings and the expansion of distribution channels aimed at meeting changing consumer behaviour.
Improved cost management and post-amalgamation synergies also contributed to profitability.
Group chief executive Tanin Buranamanit said CP Axtra will continue to pursue growth in the second half of the year through three strategies: expanding all distribution channels, including omni-channel and delivery services; strengthening product development with a focus on private-label and value-for-money lines; and leveraging artificial intelligence for operational efficiency in data analytics, targeted marketing, and inventory management.
The board of directors approved an interim dividend of 0.18 baht per share.
Shareholders on record as of August 21 will receive payment on September 5.
