Development of the First Smart Power Plant in the Philippines

SCGC subsidiary Repco Nex and Aboitiz Power Corporation will develop the first smart power plant in the Philippines using a digital twin model. This will optimize operations at AboitizPower's Therma Visayas and Therma South coal-fired power plants, aiding in predictive maintenance. The project aims to enhance performance and reduce power outages.
SCGC subsidiary Repco Nex and the Philippines’ Aboitiz Power Corporation will develop the first smart power plant in the Philippines under the Arkanghel Project.

This initiative will use a digital twin model to optimize operations at AboitizPower's 340MW Therma Visayas and 300MW Therma South coal-fired power plants, aiding in predictive maintenance and efficiency.

The collaboration aims to integrate AI and data science, enhancing asset performance and reducing outages while supporting energy demand and climate goals in Southeast Asia.
