The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning for heavy to very heavy rain in eastern Thailand from August 11 to 12, attributed to a monsoon trough and a moderate south-westerly monsoon.

Residents in foothill and low-lying areas are cautioned about the risks of flash floods and landslides.

Additionally, Typhoon Podul in the Pacific is not forecast to have a direct impact on Thailand.
