On August 13, 2024, Ambassador Latsamy Keomany, Permanent Representative of the Lao PDR to the United Nations Office in Geneva, successfully chaired the 2nd meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Geneva (ACG) for 2024. The meeting, attended by ASEAN ambassadors and diplomatic representatives, highlighted the outcomes of the recent ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Vientiane and discussed preparations for the upcoming ASEAN Summits. The ACG also reviewed successful joint initiatives in areas such as human rights and trade under various UN frameworks.
