The Cabinet has appointed Wisit Wisitsora-at, permanent secretary of the Digital Economy and Society Ministry, as the new chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission. The decision was made during the mobile meeting in Nakhon Ratchasima. DES Minister Prasert Chanthararuangthong noted that Wisit can continue in his current role while also serving as SEC chairman.
The Cabinet has appointed Wisit Wisitsora-at, the permanent secretary of the Digital Economy and Society (DES) Ministry, as the new chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
This decision was made during the mobile meeting in Nakhon Ratchasima, where the Finance Ministry's proposal to appoint Wisit was unanimously approved.
Wisit succeeds Pichit Akrathit, who has just completed his four-year tenure.
DES Minister Prasert Chanthararuangthong stated that Wisit is allowed to continue in his role as permanent secretary while serving as SEC chairman, as per legal provisions.
