CEO Disathat Panyarachun of PTT Oil and Retail announced plans to expand PTT Stations and Café Amazon branches in Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Cambodia is currently the highest revenue generator for the company, followed by the Philippines and Laos.
OR has budgeted eight billion baht for this expansion over five years from 2024 to 2028, which represents 12 per cent of their total investment.
Significant growth is expected in Cambodia, where OR aims to boost fuel depot and jet fuel investments to meet demand, while also supporting its subsidiary Thai Oil, which plans to increase its oil refinery capacity.
Further investments are planned for Myanmar, considered a promising retail market, but business strategies in China are being adjusted due to fierce competition.
Meanwhile, Amazon Park, an investment project in Lampang province, Thailand, will serve as both a Café Amazon promotional site and a research and development facility for coffee plants.
The board will visit a potential 600-rai plot in September, with park operations expected to commence within two years.
Additionally, the company is set to sell carbon credits from its coffee production process, aligning with global net-zero targets by 2050.
