Nine civilians killed and at least 14 injured in recent assaults in northeastern Thailand.
The Royal Thai Army has confirmed that recent attacks from Cambodian territory have resulted in significant civilian casualties in several provinces of Thailand. A total of nine civilians have been killed, while at least 14 others have suffered injuries due to these assaults.
The locations impacted include:
- Nong Ya Lat Subdistrict, Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province: Six civilians were killed and ten others were injured near the PTT gas station.
- Dan Subdistrict, Kap Choeng District, Surin Province: Two civilians, including an eight-year-old boy, were killed. Two additional individuals sustained injuries and were subsequently transported to Kap Choeng Hospital for treatment.
- Dom Pradit Subdistrict, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province: One civilian was killed and another injured. Damage to homes was also reported in this area.
- Ban Kruat Subdistrict, Ban Kruat District, Buriram Province: This location experienced damage to homes, losses of farm animals, and one civilian injury.
- Bak Dai Subdistrict, Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province: Damage to homes occurred in this area as well.
