SolarEdge Unveils Smart Solar Technologies and Strategic Expansion Plans at ASEW 2025 in Bangkok
New product line includes high-efficiency optimizers, commercial storage systems, and four-layer cybersecurity architecture, as company strengthens presence in Thailand’s expanding PV market.
SolarEdge, a global provider of smart energy solutions, presented a range of new technologies at ASIA Sustainable Energy Week (ASEW) 2025 in Bangkok, aligning with Thailand’s rapidly expanding photovoltaic (PV) market.
The company’s product lineup addressed residential, commercial, and industrial solar needs, along with integrated cybersecurity and safety features.
The company introduced its latest Power Optimizer S1500, designed to achieve 99.5% efficiency and compatible with high-power solar panels up to 750W, including bifacial and G12 formats.
The device features advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology and is tailored to Thailand’s preference for large-scale solar installations.
SolarEdge also showcased its Commercial Storage System (CSS-OD), a scalable energy storage solution offering 102.4kWh base capacity with expansion potential up to 1MWh.
The system is backed by a 10-year product warranty and a 6,000-cycle performance rating.
Additionally, the company launched SolarEdge ONE for Commercial and Industrial (C&I) applications, a cloud-based platform for energy monitoring, operations, and maintenance, which became commercially available in May 2025.
For residential users, SolarEdge demonstrated SolarEdge GO, a mobile application designed to streamline installation and service workflows.
Partners also exhibited the full SolarEdge Home suite, which includes Home Hub Inverters, Home Batteries, backup interfaces, and the S650B Power Optimizer.
The company highlighted its integrated four-layer cybersecurity protection system, developed in response to rising concerns over cyber threats to energy infrastructure.
SolarEdge’s safety innovations were also demonstrated, including its proprietary ASICS chip and Sense Connect technology.
The latter is engineered to detect abnormal connector overheating and shut down systems to prevent electric arcs.
SolarEdge confirmed its ongoing strategic investment in Thailand, with the establishment of a locally registered entity, workforce expansion, and plans to open a warehouse in Bangkok by the fourth quarter of 2025.
The infrastructure initiatives aim to improve logistics, reduce lead times, and enhance customer access to its solar technologies in the region.
