Suspected Cambodian Spy Arrested at Thai Air Base After Drone Drops GPS Device

Man detained after drone delivery of GPS box inside Royal Thai Air Force base
A Cambodian national identified only as “Re” was arrested at Wing 5 air base in Prachuap Khiri Khan province after allegedly crossing the border via Pong Nam Ron at around three a.m. He is suspected of operating a drone to drop a GPS device within the base perimeter in the early hours of Monday.

Royal Thai Air Force officials have issued heightened alerts to all bases, warning that GPS markers could be used to coordinate future drone strikes.

The suspect remains in custody pending further investigation.
