Thailand Boosts Digital Innovation with TIDC Project
MDES and NT Collaborate to Establish a Digital Hub
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) of Thailand has partnered with the National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) to support the Thailand International Digital Business & Finance Centre (TIDC) project.
This initiative aims to foster a digital-first ecosystem, encouraging investment and the development of innovative digital businesses within the country.
The TIDC project aspires to become a global leader as a next-generation digital and online business hub, attracting investments from startups, digital companies, and blue-chip firms both locally and internationally.
The project targets key digital sectors such as gaming, FinTech, public service digitalization, and enhancing digital services through AI, machine learning, blockchain, big data analytics, and cloud computing.
Additionally, the TIDC project will focus on job creation, improving workforce skills to meet international standards, and support Thailand's Digital Economy and Society Development Plan (2018-2037).
It will also introduce the Digital Economy Regulatory Sandbox (DERS) to test innovative digital business ideas in conjunction with both private and public sectors.
The project is backed by a team of international experts, aiming to position Thailand as a leader in digital business.
