Between January and June 2025, approximately two point eight six billion baht flowed into the economy from two hundred seventy-nine international shoots, prompting officials to raise the full-year forecast to ten billion baht.
Film incentives of up to thirty percent are part of the strategy to attract projects.
The recent release of Jurassic World: Rebirth, filmed in Krabi, Phang Nga and Trang during mid-2024, featured an investment exceeding four hundred million baht and engaged more than two thousand two hundred Thai workers.
Tourist arrivals at locations like Klong Rued and Toh Luang Cave rose by thirty to forty percent, according to local authorities in Krabi.
Alien: Earth, an eight-episode series airing on Disney Plus, has the largest foreign investment recorded in Thailand’s film history, exceeding two point eight billion baht and providing employment for more than sixteen thousand Thai crew across seven provinces.
The Tourism Department is preparing to disburse eight hundred forty-five point four million baht in cash rebates for these and other high-value productions, which collectively have invested four point four eight billion baht in the Thai economy.
Rebate eligibility applies to works such as Jurassic World: Rebirth, White Lotus Season Three (first and second episodes), and the initial four episodes of Alien: Earth.
