Chulalongkorn University advances exchanges, international programmes, and research collaborations as regional rankings rise.
Chulalongkorn University, Thailand’s oldest university, is expanding its international profile by hosting around three thousand two hundred foreign students within a total enrolment of more than forty-one thousand.
The institution has launched a '3+1' law programme, enabling students to complete three years in Bangkok and a final year abroad, graduating with dual degrees.
The university continues to lead Thai institutions in global rankings.
It placed two hundred twenty-first in the 2026 QS World University Rankings, first in Thailand and sixteenth in Asia in the 2025 QS Sustainability Rankings, and one hundred thirty-second in the 2025 Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings.
Chulalongkorn is also prioritising academic output, encouraging staff to publish internationally cited research and building global partnerships.
The university has hosted leading figures in science and technology, including internationally recognised artificial intelligence experts, to strengthen its reputation for academic excellence.
Internationalisation efforts are supported by the development of English-language programmes and recruitment of academic staff with overseas experience.
The university has also expanded student mobility through exchange agreements, internships, and collaborations with leading institutions abroad, aligning with regional trends in higher education.
