A major smart city project in Vietnam backed by Japan’s Sumitomo is moving forward as developers progress approvals and preparatory work for transport, utilities, and digital infrastructure.

Plans call for a mixed-use district combining housing, offices, and technology-enabled public services, with development to proceed in phases subject to regulatory clearance.
