AI PC Shipments to Surpass 114 Million Units by 2025

Worldwide shipments of AI PCs are projected to reach 114 million units by 2025, according to Gartner, representing a 165.5% growth from 2024. AI PCs, defined as those with neural processing units, include configurations like Windows on Arm and macOS on Arm. Shipments for 2024 are expected to be 43 million, a 99.8% increase from 2023.
According to a new forecast from Gartner, Inc., global shipments of AI-integrated personal computers (PCs) are expected to reach 114 million units by 2025, marking a significant 165.5% increase from 2024 figures.

AI PCs, as defined by Gartner, come equipped with an embedded neural processing unit (NPU) and include configurations of Windows on Arm, macOS on Arm, and x86 on Windows PCs.

The report projects that by 2024, shipments will hit 43 million units, growing by 99.8% from 2023, and will account for 43% of the global PC market by 2025.
