The Zoological Park Organisation of Thailand has launched the Moo Deng project to support flood victims and promote animal welfare. In response to severe flooding in Chiang Mai, the project provided financial aid to ten affected schools. This initiative underscores the organisation's dedication to assisting both human communities and wildlife in times of disaster.
The Zoological Park Organisation of Thailand has inaugurated the 'Moo Deng' project, focusing on the dual goals of assisting flood victims and bolstering animal welfare.
The project was highlighted during a recent visit to Chiang Mai Zoo by Associate Professor Jedsada Thonawanik, the organisation's chairman, where he presented financial aid totaling 500,000 baht to several schools affected by the severe floods in Chiang Mai.
The relief initiative targets 10 schools, including Wat Sao Hin School and Kawila Wittayalai School, among others, with the support of Nathee Damrong, mayor of the San Sai Luang subdistrict.
This natural disaster severely damaged homes and schools, contributing to one of the most devastating floods in the region's history.
The Zoological Park Organisation is committed to aiding Thai society by improving the living conditions of humans and animals during such crises.
