Amid Foreign Influx to Phuket, New Luxury Project Pledges to Create a Green Oasis
The Amal Group's $315 million venture spans 29 acres, with nearly 80% of its initial phase already snapped up by eager buyers—many from overseas. Positioned on the coveted Bang Tao beachfront, the development offers a rare balance of 70% open spaces, according to Ravi Chandran, a former Laguna Phuket CEO and current corporate affairs head at the project.
Industry expert Bill Barnett, of C9 HotelWorks, observes that Phuket's lifestyle allure and the flourishing expat community is evident in the rising number of international schools expected to grow from 13 to 21 in four years.
Having relocated to Thailand over two decades ago, Barnett remains optimistic about Phuket's future, attributing it to the innovative entrepreneurs migrating to the island.
Research by C9 HotelWorks indicates a significant trend: foreigners, particularly from Russia, China, India, and Europe, are increasingly purchasing homes in Phuket not as investments but for relocation, seeking a better quality of life.
Designed by renowned holistic architect Martin Palleros, "Gardens of Eden" is a testament to sustainable and liveable urban design amidst predictions that 70% of the global population will reside in cities by 2050, with potential negative impacts on health.
The project’s green spaces will feature over 1,000 indigenous trees, vertical and organic gardens, water features, playgrounds, and paths for running and cycling, enhancing the wellbeing of its residents.
