Forbes Advisor has ranked Bangkok as the 30th most risky city for tourists, comparing 60 cities based on various safety metrics. Caracas, Venezuela is the riskiest while Singapore is the safest. Bangkok's main risk factors were crime and health security.
Forbes Advisor titled '12 BEST TRAVEL INSURANCE COMPANIES OF JULY 2024' has ranked Bangkok as the 30th most risky city for tourists.
The assessment compared 60 cities worldwide based on travel safety, crime risk, personal security, health security, infrastructure security, natural disaster risk, and digital security.
Caracas, Venezuela was deemed the riskiest city with a perfect 100 out of 100 risk score, while Singapore was the safest with a score of zero.
Bangkok's highest risk scores came from crime and health security, at 39 each.
In Southeast Asia, Bangkok was second only to Singapore in terms of safety, ahead of Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City.
