Cambodia Takes Chairmanship of 23rd ASEAN Civil Service Cooperation
Nation to Lead Public Service Innovations Across ASEAN from 2024-2026
Cambodia has proudly assumed the chairmanship of the 23rd ASEAN Cooperation and the 8th ASEAN Plus Three on Civil Service for the 2024-2026 mandate under the theme "Innovation in Providing Better Public Services." Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many announced the theme during the ACCSM inauguration in Brunei, emphasizing the importance of cooperation, innovation, and development in civil service across ASEAN. He highlighted Cambodia's commitment to strengthening ties with ASEAN Member States and partner countries to enhance public service efficiency and professionalism.
During its chairmanship, Cambodia will host several key meetings, including the Senior Officials Meeting on Public Works in Sihanoukville in May 2025 and the 23rd ASEAN Cooperation Meeting on Public Functions in Siem Reap in August 2026. The nation will also lead the development of the ASEAN Joint Action Plan 2026-2030, marking its second time hosting such meetings, with a renewed focus on adapting to the evolving needs of Cambodian society and the broader ASEAN community.
