The PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2024, part of the 18th round of the MotoGP World Championship, concluded triumphantly at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram on October 27.
The event attracted 205,343 racing enthusiasts over the weekend.
Italian rider Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati Lenovo claimed victory in a dramatic race, narrowing his championship gap to 17 points behind Spanish competitor Jorge Martín of Pramac Racing, who finished second.
The race was declared a 'wet race' due to pre-race rain, leading to an intense 26-lap competition.
Bagnaia started from pole position and finished in 43 minutes and 38.108 seconds.
In Moto2, Thai rider Somkiat 'Kong' Chantra from Idemitsu Honda Team Asia gave a stellar performance, finishing fourth after starting from grid 13.
Japanese rider Ai Ogura clinched the Moto2 championship, celebrating with fans in Buriram.
In Moto3, Colombian David Alonso from CF Moto Gaviota Aspar emerged victorious.
The Thai Grand Prix was celebrated as a monumental success and will kick start the 2025 season with a race scheduled from February 28 to March 2, preceded by a pre-season test on February 12-13, marking another important event for motorsport in Thailand.
