IRPC and Piyavate Group Near Completion of Rayong Hospital Study
IRPC Plc and Bangkok Piyavate Group are nearing the end of a study on building a new hospital in Rayong to serve workers and the elderly in the Eastern Economic Corridor. This project supports the government's 'Ignite Thailand' plan to develop a wellness and medical hub. The study is expected to conclude by the end of this year.
IRPC Plc, the petrochemical arm of PTT Plc, is close to completing a joint study with Bangkok Piyavate Group on building a new hospital and wellness center in Rayong.
The project aims to cater to workers and the elderly in Bangkok and the Eastern Economic Corridor, which includes Chon Buri, Rayong, and Chachoengsao.
This initiative aligns with the government's 'Ignite Thailand' plan to make the country a wellness and medical hub.
IRPC's senior vice-president for finance and investor relations, Athita Anantaturakarn, announced the study would likely finish by the end of this year.
In addition to the healthcare venture, IRPC focuses on other growth engines such as power storage, solar energy, recycling, and health-related products.
They plan to increase high value-added polypropylene production to 60% by 2030 and launch a new speciality-grade polymer for industrial pipelines later this year.
