Medical Certificates to Become Mandatory for Cannabis Use in Thailand

Thailand's Public Health Minister, Somsak Thepsutin, announced that individuals seeking to use cannabis will soon be required to obtain medical certificates, ensuring the plant is utilized strictly for medical purposes. The move comes amid concerns over the misuse of cannabis following its decriminalization in 2022 and aims to tighten regulations surrounding its consumption.
