New Bus Services Linking Major Airports to Provinces
State-run bus operator Transport Co will launch services connecting Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, and Phuket airports with major cities and tourism hotspots by year-end. Destinations will include Pattaya, Chanthaburi, Hua Hin, and more. The initiative aims to boost local economies by increasing tourist arrivals.
State-run bus operator Transport Co will launch bus services to three major airports run by Airports of Thailand (AoT) and open ticketing offices to facilitate seamless travel to other provinces, the company announced on Monday.
Managing Director Atthawit Rakchamroon stated that the buses will operate from Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, and Phuket airports, targeting principal cities and tourism hotspots such as Pattaya, Chanthaburi, Trat, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Hua Hin.
Services will commence towards the end of the year, with an initial route from Phuket airport to Khao Lak.
The initiative aims to increase tourist arrivals and boost local economies in line with government objectives.
