The Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) seized over 380 million methamphetamine pills, known as ya ba, in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024.
This marks a 56% increase from the previous year, with 137 million more pills confiscated.
The NSB's efforts led to the arrest of 729 suspects and the seizure of assets worth more than 4 billion baht.
Border operations intercepted 361 million of the total pills, with significant busts including a 14 million pill haul in Chiang Mai and the large-scale Operation Poseidon, which seized over a tonne of ketamine and ya ice.
Commissioner Pol Lt Gen Khirisak Tantinvachai emphasized the bureau's commitment to dismantling over 100 drug networks.
