OMD Worldwide Launches New Positioning, Emphasizes AI-Driven Brand Growth

The global media agency announces 'We Create What’s Next' to enhance its leadership in evolving consumer engagement.
Omnicom Media Group agency OMD Worldwide, recognized as the largest media agency network globally, has unveiled a new strategic positioning named 'We Create What’s Next.' This initiative aims to reinforce its leadership role in harnessing AI and data-driven strategies for brand growth amidst a rapidly changing business and consumer landscape.

The positioning, which was introduced during a global town hall event livestreamed to 14,000 employees across over 100 countries, reflects OMD's commitment to innovating how brands connect with consumers.

The launch includes a brand refresh facilitated by Canva, showcasing a modernized version of its iconic red logo.

CEO George Manas articulated that this initiative is designed to convey OMD’s ongoing heritage of innovation as it seeks to redefine brand engagement strategies for the upcoming decade.

OMD's strategy capitalizes on current trends, including the rise of retail media, connected television, and the growing significance of creator and influencer ecosystems.

Emphasizing the importance of collaboration, Manas stated that OMD aims to facilitate deep partnerships between agencies and clients to leverage the best potentials within the market.

The recent global business performance highlighted during the town hall indicated OMD's successful growth trajectory for 2024, with the agency achieving $1.8 billion in total new business wins.

New clients such as Gap Inc., Michelin, AliExpress, and Turkish Airlines were added to their portfolio.

In Thailand, where OMD has experienced consistent growth over the past year, General Manager Rerngrith Jindaporn has expressed confidence in maintaining this momentum into 2025. Jindaporn emphasized a client-first approach, focused on delivering transformative outcomes through data-driven strategies and talent development within the agency.

The significance of agility and the willingness to innovate is a key theme in OMD's operations.

The agency plans to integrate creative media solutions with cultural insights to craft innovative strategies for its clients.

Recent recognitions include OMD being named the best performing global media network by RECMA in its latest Network Diagnostics report, marking the eighth consecutive edition atop this report.

Furthermore, according to the Global & Regional Billings Projected 2024 report released by COMvergence, OMD Worldwide leads as the #1 global media agency network by volume, with $25.9 billion in global billings, reflecting an 8% year-on-year growth, the highest rate of growth among leading agency networks.
