Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin visited Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat from February 27-29 to boost tourism.
In Pattani, he toured local markets, visited cultural sites, and engaged with community and religious leaders. Activities included the Pattani ASEAN Tourism Festival.
In Yala, the PM inspected the TK Park, the Department of Intellectual Property's fish registration process, and met with local fish farmers. He also checked customs operations and tourist spots like the Betong Mongkhonrit Tunnel.
On the final day in Narathiwat, his itinerary included the Museum of Islamic Cultural Heritage and discussions on regional tourism development.
Government Spokesperson Chai Wacharonke asserted that the PM's visit underlines the effort to stimulate the economy through tourism, highlighting the regions' cultural wealth and the hospitality of its residents. Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat offer tourism experiences on par with other provinces.
