Second Army Region Urges Public to Report Suspicious Objects Following Evacuations
Authorities in Ubon Ratchathani urge residents to report any suspicious objects or unexploded ordnance to ensure safety in areas impacted by recent unrest.
The Second Army Region has issued a public warning urging residents to report suspicious objects or unexploded ordnance in the wake of ongoing efforts to clear dangerous areas in Ubon Ratchathani province.
While many areas have been deemed safe for residents to return home, with 17 evacuation centres still sheltering 1,173 displaced people, the army cautioned that some regions remain hazardous due to the presence of unexploded devices.
The army advised the public to contact local administrative officials or the police by calling 191 to report unsafe areas or objects.
This will allow bomb disposal teams to be dispatched for inspection, removal, or destruction.
Authorities have emphasized that people should avoid these areas until they have been officially confirmed as safe.
The continued coordination between provincial governors and local security agencies is aimed at ensuring public safety as recovery and clearance operations proceed.
