A female mathematics teacher at a private school in Uthai Thani was assaulted by a male Mathayom 5 student after he became upset over not receiving full marks on a test.

The student reportedly punched and kneed the teacher multiple times in the classroom, left temporarily, and returned to continue the attack after demanding an apology.

The teacher sustained head and facial injuries and has filed a police complaint, vowing to pursue legal action despite the student's mother apologizing on his behalf.
