The Thai Meteorological Department said a moderate high-pressure system interacting with warmer air masses over the Gulf of Thailand is contributing to unstable atmospheric conditions.

As a result, provinces across the Central Plains, including areas around Bangkok, as well as parts of the eastern seaboard, may experience scattered storms accompanied by gusty winds and isolated heavy rainfall.

Officials warned that sudden downpours could trigger flash flooding in low-lying areas and disrupt road traffic, particularly during peak commuting hours.

Farmers have also been advised to secure crops and livestock against potential damage from strong winds and excess moisture, while small boat operators in the Gulf have been urged to exercise caution amid choppier sea conditions.

The weather shift follows a period of relatively stable and warm conditions across much of the country.

Forecasters said transitional seasonal patterns often produce short but intense storm activity, especially in late dry-season months when temperature contrasts increase atmospheric instability.

Local authorities are coordinating with disaster prevention agencies to monitor vulnerable districts and ensure drainage systems remain clear.

Emergency response teams have been placed on standby in areas historically prone to flooding.

Despite the forecasted storms, officials noted that the unsettled weather is expected to be temporary, with conditions likely to stabilize after several days.
