The Asean Conference 2024, themed 'Reimagining Asean for a Sustainable Tomorrow', was held on August 29 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.

Organized by the Singapore Business Federation with support from UOB bank, the event gathered over 500 government leaders and executives from 13 countries to discuss the region's sustainable growth and economic innovation.

The conference began with a ministerial dialogue led by Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry, Gan Kim Yong, emphasizing the importance of regional partnerships in making Asean a global innovation hub.

UOB's CEO, Wee Ee Cheong, highlighted Asean's economic resilience and UOB's commitment to supporting businesses in Southeast Asia.

The conference included panel discussions on the Asean Economic Community Blueprint 2025 and circular economy trends.

Breakout sessions explored market opportunities in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, focusing on digital landscapes, sustainability investments, and green initiatives.
