1,000 ASEAN Entrepreneurs Trained in Digital Exports
One thousand ASEAN entrepreneurs have received training in digital exports through the DEEP program. This collaboration among ICC, Google, ITC, and WIPO aims to equip SMEs with essential digital skills for international trade. Participants were trained in utilizing digital tools, conducting audits, and protecting intellectual property, with 95% planning significant business changes based on their training.
In a significant milestone for the ASEAN region, 1,000 entrepreneurs have received training in digital exports through the collaborative effort known as DEEP. DEEP, involving the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Google, the International Trade Centre (ITC), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), aims to bridge the digital skills gap for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region.
The comprehensive curriculum included tools such as ITC's Export Potential Map, Global Trade Helpdesk, Google's Market Finder, and ICC's Incoterms, alongside leveraging AI tools like Google Gemini.
Participants were trained in conducting digital audits, developing marketing plans, and protecting intellectual property.
Nearly 95% of companies involved plan to implement changes based on their newfound knowledge.
