Lazada Unlocks AI-Driven Growth to Support Thai Sellers
70% of Thai sellers seek AI support, prompting Lazada to roll out new smart tools and guidance for digital growth
Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the eCommerce landscape in Southeast Asia.
In Thailand, AI offers online sellers a competitive edge and a path to sustainable growth.
A recent report found that 70% of Thai eCommerce sellers need more support to adopt AI effectively.
The study, which surveyed over 1,200 sellers across six countries, reveals a significant gap between AI awareness and practical implementation among Thai sellers.
Despite this strong interest, Thailand ranks third in AI integration across the region, with 39% of sellers having successfully adopted AI into their operations.
Businesses using AI in sales and marketing can increase revenue by up to 15% while reducing operational costs by as much as 20%.
In Southeast Asia alone, AI is expected to contribute over US$1 trillion to the regional economy by 2030. To support sellers at every stage of AI maturity, Lazada has launched the Online Sellers Artificial Intelligence Readiness Playbook, offering actionable insights and best practices tailored to sellers ranging from AI Agnostics to AI Adepts.
The company has also introduced new Generative AI (GenAI) features designed to make selling easier, smarter, and more effective.
These include AI Smart Product Optimisation, AI-Powered Translations, and Lazzie Seller, an AI assistant built into the seller centre.
Lazada's established AI-powered tools are already transforming seller performance, with nearly half of sellers using the Lazada Business Advisor to optimise their strategies.
Other innovations, including Virtual Try-Ons and AI Selling Points, are improving purchase confidence and simplifying buyer-seller interactions.
Over two-thirds of Thai sellers report high satisfaction with Lazada's AI capabilities, citing increased efficiency, sales growth, and ease of use as key benefits.
