Leopard Spotted in Thailand's Kaeng Krachan National Park
Predatory Behaviour Observed Near Helipad in Phetchaburi Province
A male leopard was observed near a helipad in Kaeng Krachan National Park, located in Phetchaburi province, Thailand.
Park officials noted that the leopard appeared to be waiting for prey, such as dusky leaf monkeys.
According to Mongkol Chaipakdee, the park chief, the leopard emerged from the nearby forest and roamed around a restroom area before heading towards the helipad.
This sighting follows a previous report of another leopard observed on a park road last month, suggesting the presence of a different family in the area.
The location is considered an ideal hunting ground due to the availability of prey.
