Maurice Lacroix Launches AIKON Automatic Wotto Limited Edition: A Fusion of Art and Swiss Craftsmanship

The new timepiece, limited to 1,000 pieces, merges the imaginative style of street artist Wotto with Swiss horological expertise.
Maurice Lacroix has introduced the AIKON Automatic Wotto Limited Edition, a unique wristwatch that combines the intricate craftsmanship of Swiss watchmaking with the vibrant aesthetics of urban street art.

This limited edition release is part of the Urban Tribe series, with only 1,000 pieces available worldwide.

The collaboration with British artist Wotto, known for his whimsical and chaotic doodle style, stands as a highlight of the AIKON collection.

The artist, whose real name is Craig Watkins, has developed a distinctive visual language that features a blend of playful elements and surreal characters.

This innovative partnership was inspired by a similar project in 2021 when Hungarian artist @Timeengraver created an engraved AIKON watch, which subsequently led to further artistic endeavors by Maurice Lacroix.

The AIKON Automatic Wotto Limited Edition features a 42mm stainless steel case complemented by a bracelet and bezel that showcase Wotto's unique motifs.

Engravings of skulls, mushrooms, hearts, and other symbols work together to form a cohesive visual narrative, while the polished surfaces juxtapose with deeper engravings to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal.

Notably, this edition allows Wotto to display his artistic vision on the dial for the first time in the Urban Tribe series.

The design features a simple grey background adorned with a gradient circle of characters ranging from yellow to blue, framed by minimalist metal indexes to ensure the artwork stands as the primary focus.

Inside the timepiece, the automatic ML115 caliber operates with a power reserve of 38 hours, housed within a water-resistant case rated for depths up to 200 meters.

The anti-reflective sapphire crystal case back provides a view of the watch's intricate movement, showcasing the craftsmanship that underpins its design.

Retailing at 119,000 THB, the AIKON Automatic Wotto Limited Edition is positioned as both a statement piece and a testament to the blending of fine watchmaking and contemporary art.

Interested customers can find more information at the Maurice Lacroix Boutique located in Gaysorn Village or contact the store directly through various communication channels.
