Thai Consumer Confidence Weakens as Household Debt and Cost Pressures Weigh on Spending
A new Ipsos survey found that seventy-one percent of Thai respondents consider the country's economic situation to be poor, while persistent household debt, inflation, and concerns over job security are prompting more than sixty percent of consumers to postpone major purchases such as homes and vehicles.
