Thailand Advances Agenda to Emerge as Global Economic Hub
Bangkok, 21st January 2025 — The Prime Minister of Thailand participated in the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025, held in Davos, Switzerland, where he articulated Thailand's strategic goals to enhance its position as a pivotal global economic hub.

The WEF annual meeting congregates world leaders, industry magnates, and thought influencers to discuss global economic challenges and opportunities.

During the conference, the Thai Prime Minister highlighted measures taken by Thailand to bolster its economic infrastructure, including initiatives to enhance digital connectivity, foster innovation, and advance sustainability practices.

In recent years, Thailand has embarked on comprehensive economic reforms aimed at increasing competitiveness, diversifying its industrial base, and integrating more deeply into the global economy.

Thailand’s participation in WEF 2025 underscores its commitment to fostering collaborative international partnerships and leveraging global platforms for economic progress.

The country aims to strengthen its role in Southeast Asia's economy, which is projected to witness significant growth due to increasing investments and policy reforms.

The Prime Minister's agenda at the forum included bilateral discussions with other world leaders, focusing on trade, investment, and fostering resilient supply chains.

These discussions are positioned around the Thailand 4.0 economic model, which emphasizes technological advancement and smart industries.

Thailand’s strategic plan also includes initiatives to attract foreign direct investment by creating a conducive environment for businesses and entrepreneurs.

The government has rolled out several incentives targeting high-tech industries and clean energy projects.

As global economies face challenges such as climate change, digital transformation, and geopolitical tensions, Thailand reiterates its dedication to contributing towards sustainable and inclusive growth at both regional and international levels.

The participation of Thailand's Prime Minister in the WEF serves as a testament to the nation's proactive stance in navigating and influencing global economic discourse.
