Thailand has abolished the value-added tax exemption for imported e-commerce goods priced below 1,500 baht, requiring tax collection from the first baht to protect domestic retailers, while raising the Social Security wage ceiling to 17,500 baht to increase contributions and maximum benefits for pensions, maternity and unemployment.
