Chanakarn Theeravechpolkul Appointed as New Chief Justice
Chanakarn Theeravechpolkul has been appointed as the new president of Thailand's Supreme Court, effective October 1, 2024. The Judicial Commission has appointed Chanakarn Theeravechpolkul, previously the president of the Juvenile and Family Division of the Supreme Court, as the new president of the Supreme Court of Thailand.
The Courts of Justice spokesman, Sorawit Limparangsri, announced that her appointment will take effect on October 1, 2024.
Chanakarn will replace Anocha Chevitsophon, whose term ends on September 30.
