Thailand Space Week 2024 Aims to Strengthen Regional Space Hub Status
Thailand is hosting Thailand Space Week 2024, a three-day event organized by the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency.
The event aims to enhance Thailand's role as a regional hub for space technology.
Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Prasert Chantararuangthong, presided over the opening ceremony, reaffirming the government's support for space innovation.
The event is expected to attract over 3,000 participants from 34 countries, featuring more than 70 companies displaying cutting-edge technologies and solutions.
Key highlights include the Space Leaders Forum, addressing global challenges and the role of space technology, alongside sessions on financing and industry opportunities.
Attendees include representatives from major space agencies such as China National Space Administration, Korea Aerospace Research Institute, United States Geological Survey, European Union Space Agency, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, and the Philippine Space Agency.
By hosting this event, Thailand seeks to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and business opportunities, while positioning itself as a significant player in the global space economy.
