Thai Rice Exports Expected to Hit 9 Million Tonnes in 2021

Rice exports projected to boost revenue to $6.4 billion
Thailand's Commerce Ministry forecasts rice exports reaching 9 million tonnes this year, potentially generating $6.4 billion (230 billion baht) in revenue, Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan announced.
By the end of September, Thailand had already exported 7.45 million tonnes of rice, marking a 22.13% increase compared to the previous year.
This export volume has brought in 172.019 billion baht, or about $4.843 billion, reflecting a 45.85% rise in export value year-on-year.
