Thailand Introduces Mandatory Digital Arrival Card for Foreign Visitors
From May 1, 2025, all non-Thai nationals must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online prior to entering the country
Thailand is set to implement a new digital entry requirement for foreign travellers.
Starting May 1, 2025, all non-Thai nationals entering the country by air, land, or sea will be required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 72 hours before arrival.
The TDAC replaces the traditional TM6 paper arrival and departure card, which was previously distributed to passengers during flights or at immigration checkpoints.
The paper form had been suspended in 2022 for air travellers and in 2024 for land and sea entries.
Travellers must submit personal details, passport information, travel itinerary, accommodation address in Thailand, and a health declaration.
Upon submission, a confirmation email containing a QR code will be sent, which must be presented—either digitally or in printed form—alongside travel documents upon arrival.
The TDAC system is accessible via the official website (https://tdac.immigration.go.th) and supports five languages: English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Japanese.
A mobile application for Android and iOS devices is expected to be released soon.
Exceptions to the TDAC requirement include transit passengers who do not pass through Thai immigration control and travellers entering using a Border Pass at designated land crossings.
The TDAC initiative is part of Thailand's broader efforts to modernize its immigration procedures and enhance the efficiency of border control processes.
