The 70th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) or GIT, takes place from September 9-13, 2024, across Halls 1-8 at G and LG levels.
This globally renowned event features 1,100 companies from 20+ countries and expects 40,000 visitors, generating over one hundred million US dollars in trade value.
Thailand's gem and jewellery exports are crucial, growing by 8.40% in 2023 and 6.7% in the first seven months of 2024.
Director-General Phusit Ratanakul Sereroengrit mentioned plans to expand the event space to meet rising demand.
Also, GIT Director General Sumed Prasongpongchai highlighted the event’s role in fostering trade partnerships and announced enhanced gem testing services.
The fair is a key driver in making Thailand a significant global hub for gems and jewellery.
