AIS to Issue First Sustainability Bonds in Thai Telecommunications

Advanced Info Service (AIS) will issue its first sustainability bonds in Thailand's telecommunications sector, available for subscription from November 8 to 12, 2024.
The bonds, carrying a 'AAA (tha)' rating by Fitch Ratings (Thailand), will have 4 and 7-year terms issued through seven leading financial institutions, including Bangkok Bank and KASIKORNBANK.
Proceeds will fund 5G network expansion and energy-efficient projects, supporting AIS's vision of a sustainable digital economy.
AIS reported a net profit of 17,028 million baht for the first half of 2024, an increase of 22% year-on-year.
The subscription starts at 100,000 baht, with increments of 100,000 baht.
