Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra will present his policy statement to Parliament on September 12-13, outlining critical initiatives for economic stimulus and infrastructure development.
These initiatives aim to attract private sector investments worth no less than 1.5 trillion baht.
A key project is the 'Pearl Necklace' in the Gulf of Thailand, designed to protect Bangkok and surrounding areas from rising sea levels due to global warming.
Proposed by Plodprasop Suraswadi, former Deputy PM, the project involves constructing nine artificial islands along a 100-kilometre stretch from Bang Khun Thian to Chonburi.
Each island will cover 50 square kilometres and feature protective seawalls.
